A snowmobile rider was airlifted to a Hamilton hospital following a crash on the Friendship Trail in Port Colborne Thursday evening. Port Colborne Fire and Emergency Services Chief Tom Cartwright said three snowmobiles were eastbound on the trail, which runs between Port Colborne and Fort Erie, when the crash took place at just after 9:30 p.m.

Iron ore top performer for Seaway

Grain shipments on the St. Lawrence Seaway continue to be down, according to figures released for November by the St. Lawrence Seaway Management Corp. Though grain was down 10.46 per cent, overall cargo shipped in November was 2,617,000 metric tonnes, up 8.45 per cent over the same time period last year.
