• Springlicious Around the Corner (Begins May 30th, 2014)

Niagara Falls’ Spinglicious returns this May after a successful run last year, attracting over 30,000 community members and tourists over a three day period. Beginning May 30th, 2014, Queen St. will close down to make way for a plethora of vendors and stages. The exact layout has yet to be released, but swing by the Vendor page closer to the weekend for maps and listings.

This week, Sloan announced that they will headline this year’s food and music festival. The indie band will perform on the main stage May 31st. As of now, the only other scheduled acts include the 97.7HTZ FM Rock Search and M.Y.A.C on the 30th. Springlicious will announce more acts as May approaches, so continue to check their Entertainment page.

Each year, the Celebrate Old Downtown Community Corp. hosts Springlicious as a part of their mission to spotlight shops, restaurants, services, and talent from Niagara Falls, particularly in the Queen Street District. Year-after-year, this event grows larger and attracts more support. Should you wish to volunteer, sponsor, or participate, log onto Springlicious’ Forms Page and click the appropriate link.

Coming to Niagara a bit sooner, get ready for Canada’s oldest continually-running heritage Festival, the Folk Art Festival, between May 9th and June 1st. Over the month, there will be many events and open houses to attend, so mark your calendar! As well, gear-up for the Niagara Falls Comic Con at the Scotiabank Convention Centre between June 6th and 8th.
