• Potential South Niagara Hospital

On Wednesday afternoon Tory leader, Tim Hudak, stepped forward as the first provincial leader to support the construction of a new hospital in South Niagara.  A few years back, Conservative Bart Maves believed a modern hospital was needed to replace Niagara’s aging health care facilities, and although the government did not stand behind this notion, Tim Hudak has now, almost 5 years later, taken initiative to push the vision forward.

I want to make sure we have the most modern facilities with the best health-care treatment possible to give folks in south Niagara…quite frankly, I think we should build new hospitals instead of holding on to old ones that were built 60, 70 years ago. That’s where health-care is going and Niagara deserves their share of that in south Niagara. (Tim Hudak)
