    There’s never a shortage of things to do on Family Day. We’ve wrangled together a short list of popular events, but do explore your own cities and townships for local activities—there’s sure to be many!

    Family Fun Day @ the Museum

    • Time: 10am to 5pm
    • Where: 5810 Ferry St, Niagara Falls

    • Description: Enjoy free entry to the Niagara Falls History Museum, where Earth Rangers runs all morning and afternoon—a show that teaches kids about animal appreciation and protection. The museum will host a bevy of other activities, too, including scavenger hunts and crafts.

    Winterfest at Heartland Forest

    • Time: 11am to 3pm
    • Where: 8215 Heartland Forest Rd, Niagara Falls

    • Description: Don’t let the cold stop you from spending this Family Day outside. Heartland Forest gears up for a few special exhibits this Monday, such as Wilderness Skills, Ringtail Ranch and Rescue, Great Backyard Bird Count and more. In addition to free admission, participants can drink coffee and hot chocolate throughout the day!

    Niagara Parks Butterfly Conservatory

    Family Day at Fort George

    • When: noon to 4pm
    • Where: 51 Queens Street, Niagara-on-the-Lake

    • Description:  Spend Family Day back in 1812 at Fort George. This historic site will present guests with numerous activities that are both educational and entertaining. Check out the barracks, test your strength in drills or simply walk the grounds at your own leisure.

    Port Colborne’s Sportsfest

    • When: Feb. 13 to Feb. 16
    • Where: Citywide

    • Description: Fun activities for all in the community! Sportsfest events promote togetherness and healthy living, so join the fun with free volleyball, skating, trap shooting and swimming. Alternatively, partake in the Frostbike Winter Mountain Bike Race or the Mayor’s Cup Hockey Tournament.
