Signatures are now being collected for the Via Transit petition. After residents of Niagara were outraged by the discontinuation of service in their city, a motion began in hopes of bringing the issue in front of the federal transportation minister. Signing the petition will hopefully result in the train’s re-service becoming an election issue.
The Ontario Municipal Board’s hearing, regarding the Canadian Motor Speedway project in Fort Erie, will be held March 21st.
