ROYAL CANADIAN LEGION BRANCH 230, RIDGEWAY

INVITES YOU TO FORT ERIE’S CANADA 150 CELEBRATIONS!

We would like you to come out and see Fort Erie’s only OFFICIAL CANADA 150 CELEBRATION PARADE & Heritage Displays which will be taking place from Friday, June 30th To Sunday, July 2nd, 2017. These events will also coincide with the RIDGEWAY SUMMER FESTIVAL

The parade will be taking place in the village of Ridgeway on Saturday, July 1st at approximately 11 am to 12 pm.  At the end of the parade, dignitaries and participants will be conducting a short commemorative ceremony.

In conjunction with the parade, Branch 230 will also be hosting Heritage Displays at the Legion from Friday, June 30th, to Sunday, July 2nd.  We are also inviting citizens and groups to participate as a parade entrant or to set up a display that features any historical, ethnic or heritage theme that features time periods leading up to and after Canada’s Confederation.

Canada 150 Parade & Heritage Displays – Downtown Ridgeway (Fort Erie) Ont – June 30-July 2, 2017 … It’s going to be an exciting, fun filled weekend featuring a parade, members of the Geronimo Skydiving Team descending to the ground flying the “Largest Canadian Flag, commemorative speeches from dignitaries, a Canada 150 cake, Heritage Displays, walking tours of the Ridgeway Battlefield, antique cars, trucks, fire trucks, railway displays, amusement park displays, living history displays, reenactors, the Underground Railroad, a vintage military convoy & displays and more!

Be sure to set aside some time to enjoy the live Canada 150 entertainment and perfomers that have been lined up for you at Downtown Ridgeway Village Square;

All performances will be at the Ridgeway Village Square excluding “The Howling Horns” who will be at the Ridgeway Legion grounds for the Canada 150 Wrap Up Party.
