• Cruising Season in Niagara: Tour with Hornblower and Niagara Belle

As the Maid of the Mist sails from the American shores of the Niagara River, Hornblower Niagara Cruises offers Canadians an unforgettable journey along Niagara Falls. Hornblower’s season began yesterday, May 15th, launching two 700-passenger catamarans from the Niagara Parks docks, each 26m long and 10m wide. For safety reasons, throughout the summer, Hornblower will also keep a 150-passenger rescue boat nearby. To board these vessels, visitors must pass through the reinvented Niagara Parks Grand View Marketplace, a single display of the economic promise of the city’s agreement with Hornblower. Should all go according to plan, this attraction will boost Niagara’s tourism community substantially.

With Hornblower on the water, Whirlpool Jet Boat Tours prepares their Niagara Sunset Cruise line, beginning July 1st, 2014. The company will offer Niagara River dinning and sightseeing cruises from the deck of the Niagara Belle. This 150-passenger ship will operate Friday through Monday, with possible charter services during the week. For interested diners, Whirpool offers a la carte Brunch, Lunch, and Dinner menus. Prices vary, though as an example, the Sunday brunch buffet costs $59.95 for adults. This also includes a two-hour cruise and cash bar. This season’s departure location is the Navy Hall, located just below Fort George.
